Harvest Event FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions about Harvest Events

What is a Harvest Event?

A Harvest Event is not a single-day occurance. Rather, a Harvest Event is a window of time that lasts days or weeks when our CSA members are invited to come to the farm and pick specific vegetables.

Harvest Events are organized around what vegetables are in season. For example, in June when there is lots of spinach ready to pick, we will have a Spinach Harvest Event. In the fall, we will have a Sweet Corn Harvest Event, a Pumpkin Harvest Events, and a Squash Harvest Event.

Some Harvest Events require a coupon. For other Harvest Events, no coupons are needed. Each CSA member receives a certain number of coupons that they can use for Harvest Events.

When will the Harvest Events take place?

Harvest Events will take place throughout the summer and fall. The first Harvest Event will be in early to mid-June, and you will not need a coupon.

What do I do with my coupon?

We will have a sign-in kiosk at the entrance to the Wind Turbine field along with a box for depositing your Harvest Event coupon. When you come to the farm, sign-in at the kiosk and put your coupon in the box.

How do I find out about upcoming Harvest Events?

We will let you know about upcoming Harvest Events in our weekly email updates. We also will post information about current and upcoming Harvest Events on our website starting in June.

Where will the Harvest Events be held?

Most Harvest Events will be held on the Wind Turbine field, to the left of the driveway.

Do I have to be a CSA member to attend?

CSA members can bring as many friends and family as they want to help them harvest.

Do I have to use each coupon for a different Harvest Event?

No! You can use multiple coupons at a single Harvest Event to get more of your favorite vegetables. Each coupon entitles you to a certain amount of vegetables (usually one bushel). You can use the coupons for whichever vegetables you want. The variety (or lack of variety) is up to you!
